Avenir Telecom adds muscle to accessories division
Avenir Telecom has expanded its accessories division with the appointments of James Bennett as National Account Manager, and Mark Grice as Accessories Sales Manager.
Orange has recently extended Avenir's contract as one of its key distributors for mobile accessories. The firm has also signed a set of exclusive distribution contracts with some of the most exciting accessories manufacturers from across Europe, details of which will be announced in the coming months.
Bennett joins Avenir Telecom having previously held high-level sales positions at Motorola and Regus. His accessories knowledge stems from a seven year tenure with The Carphone Warehouse which covered area sales management, marketing and in-store roles.
Grice spent two years with Peter Jones' Phones International Group, latterly as Head of Accessory Sales. He has also worked as a sales manager for MPE (part of The Carphone Warehouse) and as Head of International Trading (Accessories) for Unique Distribution.
"We are delighted that Mark and James are joining the business," commented Stuart Balaam, Accessories Sales Director. "Having signed exclusivity deals on some great new brands we have continued to extend our successes in the mobile accessory market in a relatively short space of time. We are confident that Mark and James will help capitalise on these successes and help drive the business further forwards."
Andy Tow, Managing Director of Avenir Telecom, added: "The fact that Orange Retail has chosen to retain us as a key distributor is a testament to our accessories offering which - at customer, retailer and dealer level - is based on clearly marketed features and benefits, financial confidence, and technical excellence."
